Regional Multiplier Estimation Tool

FLQ-based regional I-O multipliers • IMPLAN calibration • BEA/BLS methodology
BETA — This tool is in active development. Data and calculations should be independently verified before use in official documents or submissions. Feedback welcome at cocanojm@yahoo.com
Purpose: Estimate regional economic multipliers from public BEA/BLS data using the Flegg Location Quotient (FLQ) methodology. Use when IMPLAN or RIMS II data is unavailable, or to cross-validate purchased multipliers. These estimates typically fall within 10–15% of IMPLAN values and are suitable for preliminary analysis and cross-validation.
Note: These are estimated multipliers derived from public data. For official studies, purchased IMPLAN or RIMS II multipliers are preferred. Use these for preliminary analysis, cross-validation, or when commercial data is unavailable.
